3 What actually is BI? BI (like most HEIs) is a big, complex organisation It does not fit the profile of a traditional business school Everybody has their own ideas about What we do What we used to do (i.e. “the good old days”) What we are good at What we should be doing These ideas are based largely on opinions, biases, employment history and narrow viewpoints
