5. What is Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum?
A community forum, set up as part of the Localism Act, to promote and improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of the area
Our aim is to gather local views and write a Neighbourhood Plan
The Neighbourhood Plan will be part of Camden’s planning policy for the area

21. A vision or set of objectives
Dartmouth Park continues to be a neighbourhood that:
is predominately residential, characterised by a rich variety of architectural styles and increasingly energy-efficient housing for people of all means;
has a strong community feel, encompassing a wide mix of social groups, and supported by first-class community services;
has thriving local centres and is served by a wide range of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs;
is leafy with treasured green and open spaces and wide, tree-lined roads, giving a semi-rural or village feel;
is well-connected both to neighbouring areas and to central London by excellent public transport, walking and cycling links.

ASF Garage, Highgate Road
If redeveloped, must be low and not impacting on Denyer House residents.
No retail, due to impact on existing shops.
Preference for open space.

Mansfield Bowling Club, Croftdown Road
Housing on footprint of clubhouse could be acceptable, if in keeping with context and meets local needs (affordability!).
Leisure and accessible open space on remainder of the site – community projects.

Local centres: Swain’s Lane, Highgate Road, York Rise, Chester Balmore
Independent shops and cafes.
Better services e.g. free cash machine, toilets.
Development in keeping with surroundings.
Flexibility on use for vacant units, but retail a priority.
Restrictions on size of delivery vehicles.

If redeveloped in future, mix of uses: housing, employment, culture, open space. Retail?

Vital that a range of services are maintained.
Including childcare, youth and older peoples’ services.
If there has to be housing on part of site, it must reflect local need and be in keeping with context.

33. Treasurer’s report- summary
Started with £28.60 of petty cash from donations
£6950 government grant approved in July 2013
Held by Camden Council on our behalf. £2000 received by DPNF in November 2013.
Expenditure has been kept to a minimum: printing, room hire and refreshments.
£ in the DPNF bank account. £3950 of grant not yet drawn down.
