A Note from the Teacher
What’s Happening in...
This week we went on our fall walk. The students really enjoyed exploring and finding pieces of “fall” to add to their baggies.
If you have not already, please subscribe to our class’ website. It’s super easy, just go to the staff directory on the Marr/Cook website, click on my name and underneath my picture hit subscribe.  I use this website to post important reminders, picture and tips.
Please make sure you are sending in lunch money and/or adding money to your child’s account.
If you are sending in lunch/breakfast money put it in a baggie or envelope with their first and last name and lunch pin on it and put it in their folder.
Please put all notes in your child’s folder.
Please review and practice all sight words with your child. It is crucial for them to know these words, so that we can begin reading! 
It is helpful to review any of the letters or numbers we work on at school so your child starts becoming familiar with them. Making flashcards helps.
Don’t forget to clean out your child’s red folder each night to make sure you don’t miss any important papers.
Letter recognition – We focused more in depth on letters Cc and Ii. We also focused on the sounds they make.
Sight Words – we, my, like
Math – We reviewed writing numbers We also talked about the subtraction sign, classifying shapes and comparing numbers
