What We’re Learning
Reading
We will read the story Extra Good Sunday. Our story skills are thesaurus, understanding characters, and formal/informal language. Our story summative will be the week of April 9th.
Language Arts
We will begin unit 5. This week we will review correct punctuation in sentences, capitalizing proper nouns, and abbreviations.
Math
We will continue working on Chapter 10. We will focus on elapsed time. This is a difficult concept for most third graders, so we will spend three days on this skill.
Science & Social
Studies
Science – we will continue our next unit called Social and Group Behavior.
Social Studies – we will continue learning about spies and traitors.
