- A series of trade laws- created by Parliament- to obtain more resources (sailors, ships, trade, etc.) 1. Only English ships with English sailors could trade with English Colonies 2. Valuable goods- such as tobacco and sugar- can only be shipped to England 3. Colonies had to import all European goods via an English port- where they paid customs duties
