1 HERA Grading Process Flowchart for Managers
Step 1 Manager has a new role or wants to make changes to an existing role Contacts HR Advisor for initial discussion at earliest opportunity Step 2 Discusses the proposal with their HRA to determine whether a HERA Assessment is required or whether alternative actions are appropriate e.g Above & Beyond, Acting Up, Additional Responsibility Allowance. Are the changes significant and permanent? Does this match to or is similar to an existing role? Step 3 HR Advisor provides any relevant existing Job Descriptions to the manager for review. HR Advisor advises on completion and submission of appropriate forms and document Step 4 Manager (or individual) completes documents and when fully completed submits to Receipt of Grading Request acknowledged and timescale advised Step 5 Role assessed and validated by trained HERA Analysts. Step 6 Manager, HR Advisor, individual notified of the outcome.
