How many g’s are you pulling?
# of g’s (or g force) – an object’s apparent weight ( the weight you “feel”) – the number of times lighter or heavier an object feels – the ratio of the normal force and the force of gravity (weight) During free fall Hence, you feel weightless!

How many g’s are you pulling?
# of g’s (or g force) – an object’s apparent weight ( the weight you “feel”) – the number of times lighter or heavier an object feels – the ratio of the normal force and the force of gravity (weight) Sitting in a non-accelerating chair Hence, you feel your normal weight!
3
How many g’s are you pulling?
Consider a cart accelerating down a frictionless incline. Since is unbalanced it causes the cart to accelerate as it moves down the incline
4
How many g’s are you pulling?
Hence, you feel lighter since the normal force is less than your weight at any non-zero angle (you are pulling less than 1g)!
5
How many g’s are you pulling?
Driving at constant speed through a circular valley Since the object accelerates upward (inward) But

Driving at constant speed through a circular valley Since the object accelerates upward (inward) Hence, you feel heavier since the normal force is greater than your weight (more than 1g)!
