definitions Physical Abuse-Physical harm
Sexual Abuse-inducing or coercing a child into performing sexual acts Emotional Abuse-harming a child’s self worth and emotional well being Neglect- failure to meet a child’s basic needs Physical Abuse- Hitting, punching, kicking, whipping, biting, pushing, shaking, burning, poisoning- intent does not matter, if the person taking care of the individual has hurt them it is abuse- can involved objects such as belts, sticks, cigarettes Sexual Abuse- inducing or coercing a child into performing sexual acts – fondling or penetration- indecent exposure or exploitation with pornography Emotional Abuse- name calling, rejection, shaming, rejection, and with holding love Neglect- physical, emotional, housing, food, clothing, education, and medical care
