Kingdom Living Now The righteousness of the Pharisee is at fault in its source. Its beginning and end is self Christ is our righteousness. W. D. Harwood The question is not whether a doctrine is beautiful, but whether it is true. A. W. Hare 1/20/2019

Timing is Everything Galatians 4:3-5 - In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world. But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

Timing is Everything Romans 5:6 - For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Mark 1:22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.

Matthew 5:20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mark 7:3-4 (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly, holding to the tradition of the elders, and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.)

Matthew 18:3-4 Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But My kingdom is not from the world.”

Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself.

Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

1 Corinthians 3:7-9 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.

Philippians 4:2-3 I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

2 Corinthians 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

For Our Consideration Do you understand what happened to you when you were born again by the Spirit of God? What do you base your righteousness upon? What does child-like faith mean to you? What does living in the Kingdom of Light mean to you in your daily life? Do you believe that your life matters for the Kingdom right now, where you are today?

Prayer Focus Thank You Father for loving us and inviting us into Your Kingdom ruled by Your Son Jesus. Thank You for giving each of us the opportunity for service in Your Kingdom. Thank You for a new day to walk with You in grace, mercy and love. Thank You for Your Word and Spirit to lead and instruct us.
