Mrs. Reyes’s Parent Information Guide Week of: November 30 – December 4, 2015 Parent Involvement Tip: Please check your child’s math spiral homework daily. These types of questions may be asked on summative tests! Test Schedule Tuesday: Social Studies: Test Daily work may also be graded. Test dates are subject to change. Check agenda for changes made. Math We have just begun Module 5: Fractions. Lessons 3-9 will be covered with an emphasis on decomposing and equivalent fractions using area models, multiplication, and division. Science/Social Studies Students will need to interpret and answer questions about a map, timeline, and a primary source of information on Tuesday’s test. They will also write a summary of a primary source of information. These skills have been practiced in class. We will then research early settlements in America. Don’t forget to donate to the toy and food drive. Other Information Technology: Students should be using at home as much as possible. This is a great website for students to use to strengthen math skills. Mrs. Reyes will send home progress reports on Tuesday.
