1 Villa Rica High School AP / Honors Night
Welcome Villa Rica High School AP / Honors Night

2 GPA and weighting AP classes are given 1 point extra on the student’s GPA. (Dual enrollment classes are weighted as well) Honors classes are not weighted. This weighting is used to help these students remain competitive for Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Honor Graduate. This status is also reflected in class rank.

3 HOPE Calculations “The GSFC will add 0.5 points to all grades reported for AP and Baccalaureate courses.” (hope_scholarship.net, 2015) The school weighting will be removed before this is added. This is done to standardize student GPAs across the state.

4 HOPE Rigor requirement
Honors and AP courses Class of 2016 must have 3 rigor classes Class of must have 4 rigor classes

5 AP Scores Ap Scores are reported directly from the College Board usually the second week of July. The scores are reported online. Students will be given online access codes on their testing days. The scores are also reported to VRHS, and for graduated seniors to their universities.

6 Which scores are accepted?
