3 Collinear Points in a set are collinear if they ALL lie on the same line.

4 These points appear to form a triangle. They are not collinear.

5 These points lie on a horizontal line. They are collinear.

6 Here are a few facts about points and collinearity:
Any two points are always collinear with each other, because you can draw a line that contains them both. All the points on a line are collinear with each other. A point that is not on a line CANNOT be collinear with any pair of points on the line.

7 Example 1 Find three points on the graphs of π’š=𝟐 𝒙 . Are they collinear?

8 Example 2 Find three points on the graphs of π’š+𝟐=𝟐(π’™βˆ’πŸ). Are they collinear?
