1 Our Solar System By Carson Binns

2 This is the solar system it is filled with many planets
This is the solar system it is filled with many planets. Mercury Jupiter Venus Saturn Earth Uranus Mars Neptune

3 The four inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars
The four inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. The inner planets are mostly made of rock.

4 The four outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
The four outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The outer planets are also called the Jovian planets or gas giants.

5 Earth’s Surface

6 Facts About Earth Earth has seven continents:
North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Antarctica, Asia, and Australia. Earth is made up of 70% water and 30% land. The largest ocean on earth is the pacific ocean. The smallest ocean on earth is the Arctic ocean. The earth has five oceans the pacific ocean, the Atlantic ocean, the Indian ocean, the southern ocean, and the arctic ocean.

7 Mars Surface Mar’s surface is a dry, barren wasteland marked by old volcanoes and impact craters. The entire surface can be covered by a single sand storm that hides it from observation for days at a time.

8 Curiosity NASA's Mars rover Curiosity experienced an unexpected software reboot (also known as a warm reset) yesterday (11/7/13) during a communications pass as it was sending engineering and science data to the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, for later downlinking to Earth

9 How earth and mars are alike
There are many similarities between the Earth and Mars, such as: -Mars once had water, including rivers and oceans -Both Earth and Mars are rock planets -Mars and earth both have moons -They both have atmospheres, and they both have livable surfaces.

10 How earth and mars are different
Unlike earth mars has no tectonic plates. Mars is small, only about half the diameter of Earth, and has only 10% of the Earth’s mass. This means that it has a much lower surface gravity than Earth. If you could stand on the surface of Mars, you would only experience about 1/3rd the gravity you have on Earth. You would be able to jump 3 times higher than you could on Earth.
