2 Salvation and being a Christian isn’t just about getting to Heaven
Salvation and being a Christian isn’t just about getting to Heaven. It’s about your story changing from alone to adopted! Look at sheet Orphans from God – the one who made us What is an orphan – first blank - SACRIFICE Live alone in a different world – around people – but alone – no one to sacrifice for you / watch over you You speak a different language – Romans 8 – fear / fear always sounds like complaining, accusing You learn to survive – no one else – have to do it yourself –how you live –SELFISH You have a different name than you should God created you to be loved – you call yourself unlovable To be importabt – you call yourself worthless To strong and filled with joy – you are empty and feel weak [testimonies] Call yourself an atheist, hopeless, failure – God calls believer, healed and sucess Story of the Bible – as Everything changes when you realize that God loved you so much – sent his son to adopt you Never thought about it – we have – our story - video

4 1. You live with Him always
God in Heaven wants to adopt you into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus 1. You live with Him always 2. You speak love & forgiveness He is living with you now – in your world and bringing you to his Sara and I flew 7,000 place we didn’t belong to bring Kaleb with us Willing to live with him – but goal was for him to come back and live with us 2. Brokeness happened – its done But so is the cross – all your sins – cancelled there & all the sins against you (important for #4) Kaleb learned English – being with a family / you have to

5 When you were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self, God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins. He canceled your debt, which listed all the rules we failed to follow. He took away that record with its rules and nailed it to the cross. God stripped evil’s power over you. With the cross, he won the victory and showed the world that evil is powerless compared to Christ. (Col 2:13–15). The past is nailed to the cross – it died with Christ It doesn’t define you – no power over you If in family – you would remember Keep teaching Kaleb – this is how you do this We forget on our own

6 3. You learn a life of peace (security)
God in Heaven wants to adopt you into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus 3. You learn a life of peace (security) 4. You have a NEW name 3.
