Garlic Bread

Ingredients 1 small wholemeal baguette 50g reduced fat spread
2 cloves crushed garlic 15ml spoon chopped parsley

Equipment Foil Garlic press Small bowl Chopping board Bread knife
Spreading knife Mixing spoon

Methods 1. Preheat oven to 200oC, gas mark 6.

2. Peel and crush the garlic.
3. Chop the fresh parsley. 4. Mix margarine, garlic and parsley together in a small bowl.

5. Cut the baguette into slices.

6. Spread garlic butter onto each slice.
7. Wrap the baguette in foil.

6. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
7. Peel foil back and bake for a further 5 minutes until crunchy. Top Tips Use a plant based spread (such as olive oil or sunflower spread) - it is lower in saturated fat than butter. Bread can be kept in the freezer to keep it fresh for longer.
