2. You will be required to read a book outside of class and complete an Outside Reading Project. Each project will be assigned by your English teacher and you will be given instructions and a due date. The book you choose must be approved by your English teacher or be from the book list provided. All projects will have an As-You-Read activity that will also be turned in with your final project.

8. Project #1: Sell It!
Each student will pretend to be a publicist for the book they have just read. The student will type a one page speech that will persuade other students to read their book. If time permits, students will read their speeches to the class on the project due date. Writing this essay will be especially difficult if the student didn’t like the book.
