1983 Graduate of West Virginia University and Masters from University of Arizona in 1984 Newark’s FIRST Athletic Trainer in 1984 Served Newark Schools and the community until 2018 Career and Tenure (34 Years) Contributed to the Athletic Department, Newark City Schools, and OHSAA Developed the Lightning and Cold Weather Policies for NCS, OCC Conference and OHSAA Consultant to the OHSAA on Concussion Policy Coordinated both strength and conditioning programs for all athletes at NHS Coordinated the Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy Provided In-Service Training for spinal injuries with the Fire Department Received the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Service Award in 1991 OATA Trainer of the Year 1993 OATA Model Athletic Training Program in 1999 National Athletic Trainers Association Service Award 2001 Inducted to Ohio Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame 2004 Not only a trainer…but a leader in our community!!!
