By tapping others on the should- authentic leadership Supporting one another and giving back Being with like-minded people that share your passion Providing a HWE for your chapters Sometimes your “why” finds you! How do YOU plan to INCOPORATE this years theme? As we spoke about her theme these are some of the ideas; pearls that came up.. Think of some ideas. Featured member of the month.

Participate in neighboring Chapter Events Share your meeting minutes I can help you with that! Collaborate with community outreach projects Joint projects Not just formal collaborative events Discuss sister chapters

Chapter recruitment/retention
CNO Involvement Reach out to other ICUs, PCUs, PACU, etc. Raffling a chapter membership/ recruitment event Student involvement- mentoring them/partnering with a board member Certification celebration/ recruitment opportunity Unit/Chapter ambassadors

Meeting diversity/ online, phone, offering more than just education Assess your member’s needs. Listening is key! Keep all members informed via , social media, phone calls to those who don’t utilize social media. If funds are available, have board members participate in LDW. (Leadership Development Workshop at NTI)

Engagement Ideas Going out to other neighboring hospitals to visit units Open up events to non members Going out to Nursing Schools to recruit students Fundraising Ideas Charging Vendors for tables/booths. Can charge up to $750 depending on the size of the event Seek Companies that offer grants Charge Non members for attending vendor sponsored events- $15 is a popular rate
