3 Review Your Credits Students who are planning to attend a university or college are advised to review individual college admission requirements. It is YOUR STUDENTS’ responsibility to be sure graduation requirements are met. SENIOR CONFERENCE! Seniors need to schedule in the fall with their counselor.

5 MHS Required Senior Courses
Every student must earn 23.5 credits for a diploma from Memorial High School. Senior Year English 12 or AP English 1.0 Econ or AP Econ Psych./AP Psychology or Sociology /1.0 Minimum course load

6 Advanced Placement Exams
Credits translated to UW-System: UWHELP.WISCONSIN.EDU Test Dates and Information: apcentral.collegeboard.com It is highly recommended that students planning to attend post-secondary education to take at least one AP course before graduation.

11 Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC)
Must have completed: The online application and pay a one time, non-refundable $30 processing fee at the time of the application. Submit ACT scores. Refer to the website for additional admission requirements for each program. Accomplished one of the following: Graduation from high school or Completion of an accredited high school equivalency program or Completion of a GED or HSED. Representative will be here at Memorial in Student Services Tuesday mornings. First come first serve Example: Nursing program

12 Admission Requirements
UW and Minnesota System required course preparation Core college preparatory credits 13 credits English 4 credits Mathematics 3 credits (*4.0 for MN) Natural Science 3 credits Social Science/History 3 credits Elective credits 4 credits Minimum 2 credits of foreign language is required for admission to UW-Madison, and all MN State schools. Check university websites for specifics. Once accepted, check with schools before changing core academic classes.

Check to make sure school requires a recommendation Allow at least 3 weeks for recommendation to be written Give recommender completed brag sheet (found in Student Services) Thank recommender and let them know the outcome

Apply After October 1st of senior year Beware of other sites that cost money – it is a scam. This is FREE! Everyone qualifies for some type of financial aid so EVERYONE should apply Financial Aid Night Next Fall at North College Goal Sunday February at CVTC Seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend this meeting.
