With an unparalleled land real estate education program, the REALTORS® Land Institute’s Land University (LANDU) offers top- notch educational courses and webinars. Real estate professionals become land experts and Accredited Land Consultants (ALCs) through the Institute’s LANDU education. Types of Courses Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) – online, no-travel courses with scheduled webinars Independent Study – online, no instructor (only Land 101) Classroom - live courses held by Chapters or at LANDU Education Week each June

LANDU Education Week! What is LANDU Education Week?
RLI holds a nine-day “week” of in-person LANDU Courses annually at a new location each year around the country. Why Attend LANDU Education Week? Network and build relationships with instructors and fellow students while you learn. Complete all six courses towards the ALC Designation in one place at one time.

Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation
What is the ALC Designation? The Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designations is symbol in the land industry of the most prestigious, experienced, and highest performing land sales experts. RLI offers the ALC Designation to agents who complete RLI’s rigorous education, volume, and application requirements.

ALC Requirements Education Requirement Overview
Successful completion of a total of 104 Land University (LANDU) contact hours, including three required courses Learn more at rliland.com Fast Track Option A “Fast Track” to the ALC Designation is available to those real estate professionals who have already achieved specific levels of education on land and/or real estate. Fast Track applicants must provide proof of holding an approved designations or qualifying degree.

ALC Requirements Volume Requirement Overview
The value of the land must account for at least 51% of the total sale Transactions must have been completed no more than five years prior to the submission of the ALC portfolio The portfolio must substantiate that the applicant’s participation and material involvement as a broker, agent, consultant, Investor/Developer or employee directly resulted in: at least five closed land transactions totaling $10,000,000 OR 25 separate land transactions of which no more than 20 percent involve residential parcel sales.

ALC Requirements Additional Requirements Overview
Must successfully complete a comprehensive online exam. Must submit a professional resume that demonstrates a minimum of two years of experience in land sales or brokerage or a minimum of three years of comparable real estate experience in a related land service. Must obtain and submit two letters of recommendation. Must provide a professional resume and proof of active real estate license. Must submit a formal application. Must be approved by the RLI Board of Directors.
