Jackson Pollock was born on the 28 January 1912.
He was born in Cody, Wyoming.
He grew up in Arizona and California.
He had 5 brothers!

3. Parents
Jackson Pollock's father was called Leroy Pollock and his mother Stella May McClure.
His Father had been born Leroy McCoy but both his parents sadly died. He was then adopted by his next door neighbours who had the last name of Pollock.

In 1928 Jackson Pollock went to study Painting at the Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles.
He worked very hard at High school.
His Art teacher always knew he would go far…

Jackson Pollock showed his love for painting through the actions he made when painting.
He did this by using a technique of pouring and dripping on a canvas on the floor .

6. Marriage In October 1945 Jackson Married.
He married the Artist Lee Krasner.
She became an important influence on his career and on his legacy.

Lee Krasner was born on 27 October 1908 in Brooklyn , New York.
She won many awards for her Art in her life time.
She died on June 1985

8. Death On August 11 1956 Jackson Pollock sadly died.
He died in a alcohol-related car accident.
A few others died and a few injured themselves.
He died at the young age of 44.
He died in New York.
