Introduction Nat Turner was never a rebellious slave, well not until he noticed what was going on, all the signs around him have a reason, but what? starting a rebellion means taking risk for everyone, even his family. Why would he want to do that? Why would Turner want to put everyone at risk, risk of losing their lives, risk of losing their loved ones? Was Turner actually bad? Selfish? Was turner doing what was right? Or was Turner doing the wrong thing that would put everyone in danger? Turner was their one and only hope, or was it? This was one of the largest rebellion in America history.

Nothing… Or Signs? Turner was doing his everyday work, working in the fields when turner saw things. It was signs, signs telling a rebellion should start. And these signs were special, he believes they were sent by god. Turner has chosen a date and day when a eclipse happened, thinking as if a black man’s hand was covering the sun. this is the time he thought, the time this rebellion starts.

End of the Rebellion… or is It?
turner believes that the will make it, they will survive, but their hopes are too high. 800 troops joined 2,000 marshal men to hunt them down. Soon 50 over slaves were captured and tortured. 60 white women, men and children were dead. This caused the rebellion to stop. But now they found out that Nat Turner was still missing.

Turner Discovered Turner hid successfully for 2 whole months. But he was found, not intentionally, but accidentally. Not by a troop, not by a marshal but by a farmer that was driving by. He spotted Nat climbing out of a hole. He threaten to kill him if he wouldn’t come with him. After he was found, he was hanged and skinned .

After Effect This frightened the whites that this gave the other slaves hope of running away, and it did. More slaves are running away, and after the rebellion, they have to have lookouts. Maybe someday slaves won’t have to be a problem. And what do you know, it isn’t any more!
