Discarded items sometimes create hazardous pollution, as David Attenborough showed in Blue Planet, and they can sometimes be the source of creative ideas. Eian Kantor has recorded discarded items in a series called ‘Found Sculptures’. A discarded item is an object that a person no longer needs and wants to dispose of. Sometimes these object are left abandoned in the environment and left to rot or decay, sometimes causing harmful pollution. Below are some examples of discarded items photographed in a range of styles.
