How can we help send less unused food to landfills?

33% of what goes into landfills is compostable

Food scraps can have very negative impact on landfills
We want to eliminate as much compostable material from landfills

Adds to the increasing piles of waste
Toxins such as leachate pollute the soil and area
Organic material breaks down in an anaerobic process releasing methane gas into atmosphere

5. Our Approach to solving this Problem
Crazy Composters will provide restaurants with compost bins depending on an estimated amount of wasted food scraps they will produce
One of our compost collectors will go to restaurants based on a predetermined pick-up schedule and collect the food scraps
They will be taken to our maintenance facilities to be turned into “good” compost by our maintenance team
We will then sell the compost to landscapers for profit

We don't charge for compost collection
This will lead to far more restaurants wanting to compost with us over competitors
We sell the compost to landscapers
Will sell for approximately $40 per cubic yard
By not charging for compost collection, we believe we can steal the current competition
This will increase our amount of compost we collect and maintain
Leading to larger amount of compost inventory to sell to landscapers
Leading to steady stream of revenue
