3 Percent of Change!!! The percent a quantity increases or decreases from its original amount is the percent of change.

4 Percent of Increase!!! Find the percent of increase from 4 to 7.5. Amount of increase = 7.5 – 4 = 3.5 Original amount = 4 The percent of increase from 4 to 7.5 is 87.5%

5 Percent of Increase – You Try!!!
Find the percent of increase from 100 to 114. Amount of increase = 114 – 100 = 14 Original amount = 100 The percent of increase from 100 to 114 is 14%

6 Percent of Decrease!!! Find the percent of decrease from 1,500 to 1,416. Amount of decrease = 1500 – 1416 = 84 Original amount = 1500 The percent of decrease from 1,500 to 1,416 is 5.6%

Find the percent of decrease from 9.6 to 4.8. Amount of decrease = 9.6 – 4.8 = 4.8 Original amount = 9.6 The percent of decrease from 9.6 to 4.8 is 50%

Find the percent of decrease from 202 to 192. Amount of decrease = 202 – 192 = 10 Original amount = 202 The percent of decrease from 202 to 192 is 5%
