TOPIC SENTECE Conflict existed during the Second World War as the Allies fought against the Axis Powers. A lot of conflict existed during World War Two as Britain prepared to fight the Nazis.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT As WWII began-9/1/39, Hitler (Axis) conquered almost all of Europe VERY QUICKLY. The Nazis were successful due to Blitzkrieg (define) WHY?—Hitler wanted lebensraum (living space)— explain!

DOCUMENT EVIDENCE Make sure your quote depicts the EI “…But if we fail, then the whole world, including the US…will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age..”

YOUR ANALYSIS 1st- describe your quote
Churchill was describing how if Britain lost, the Axis would win and the western world would fall apart. “fall apart”western democracy and rights/freedoms would come to an end and fascism would spread everywhere. Censorship, propaganda… Explain how Britain was able to defend itself (help from USA even though we were neutral) CONFLICT…..tie your quote into your EI

SOME TIPS: Outlining is a SKILL. Just like learning to read or annotating, it takes TIME & PRACTICE at home. Over time, you will get quicker at outlining!
