Figure 1 Representative sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of pepsin-solubilized collagens from myometrium and leiomyoma tissues in the proliferative phase. Lane 1 shows the myometrium sample and lane 2 shows the leiomyoma sample. Samples of heat-denatured collagen (5 μg) were subjected to electrophoresis on a slab gel for 1 hour. After reduction in situ with β-mercaptoethanol for 30 minutes, electrophoresis was resumed for 1 hour.
