The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program divides offenses into two groups, Part I and Part II crimes.
The UCR collects data about Part I offenses in order to measure the level and scope of crime occurring throughout the nation.
The program chose these offenses because they are serious crimes, they occur with regularity in all areas and are likely to be reported to the police.
Part I crimes are:
Homicide
Rape
Robbery
Aggravated Assault
Burglary
Larceny Theft
Motor Vehicle Theft

District 1 saw the greatest decrease in Motor Vehicle Theft (40% decrease), followed by Burglary (16% decrease)

District 2 saw the greatest decrease in Motor Vehicle Theft (24% decrease)

District 3 saw the greatest decrease in Motor Vehicle Theft (34% decrease), followed by Aggravated Assaults (18% decrease)
This district had the highest number of homicides among all districts in (31%)

Highest number of Part I crimes in (N=3662) and (N=3205)
District 4 saw the greatest decrease in Motor Vehicle Theft (39% decrease), followed by Aggravated Assaults (23% decrease) and Larceny-Theft (12% decrease)
