1 Stewarding Prophecy Dr. Clem Ferris

2 Rev. 1:3 (and 22:7) “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is at hand. the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”

3 Two Vital Responsibilities
1. Hear 2. Keep

4 Keeping the Word of the Lord

2. Hold on to the Word. 1 Timothy 1:18,19 This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith,

7 The Prophetic Involves a Process
No process – no arrival. Not delivery of a singular word – a process of inquiry – requiring us to go back to God. Begins as future insight – eventualizes into actions, structure and personal dealings.

8 Five Battlefields of the Prophetic Word
1. The Battlefield of Delay 2. The Battlefield of No Recognition 3. The Battlefield of Misunderstanding 4. The Battlefield of Doubt 5. The Battlefield of Prophetic Crisis
