-become familiar with welcoming activities in the school and ask to be a part of the event by setting up a table of information.
-SWIS will continue to register students in schools.

-dressing for Winter’ posters in the schools. Work with teachers in classrooms to promote dressing appropriately.
-SWIS will distribute ‘Parent/Teacher Interview’ videos to LINC classrooms to help parents better understand the process. SWIS will arrange interpreters and meeting times for the youth.
-provide general information in EAL classrooms (as needed) for students on health: doctors/dentists/optometrist

- SWIS will facilitate sessions in several High Schools on time and stress management. These sessions will also include signs of depression and how to deal with conflict.
- SWIS will host ‘Parent Night’ in four High Schools for newcomers and their families. We will cover topics such as Canadian School systems, etc. SWIS may also invite guest speakers to Parent Nights (i.e. Guest Speakers from other community agencies, etc.)
