Background In 2008, Loblaw Companies Limited began a 5 Year journey to revamp their IT Landscape The core of this effort was 4 major themes: Move from Build to Buy Implement SAP Standardize IT across Regions and Banners Centralize IT Workloads, where possible Many new ITIL disciplines were required: Capacity Planning was begun in 2009 Data collection, processing & presentation were developed manually

Capacity Portal Near Real-Time metrics for over 9,000 devices Daily, Weekly and Monthly summaries Response time metrics Application metrics Integration with other tools Scope AIX, Windows and LINUX servers Virtual Server / Physical Device / Cluster Storage Network Appliances: Exadata, HANA, Teradata Databases / Java Application Health, Response Time and Workload Drivers (future state)
