We use cattle for so much. Beef, milk, and leather are just a few examples of what we get from this animal.

6 Crop Corn is a crop! Corn is a crop because it is a cultivated plant grown for food, livestock feed, and fuel.

8 NOT Livestock A deer is not considered livestock because it is a wild animal and not raised by humans for a profit. Ranches do provide habitat for wildlife.

Chickens produce meat and eggs.  Have you ever had an omelet?  A chicken produced those eggs.  How about chicken nuggets?  Those nuggets come from chickens, too! Livestock Chickens ARE livestock!

Do you eat sausage and bacon in the morning?  Those are from a hog!  So are the pork chops and ham you have for lunch and dinner. Livestock Hogs ARE livestock!

Agriculture is one of the top three industries in our state. Cattle and sheep are the top two types of livestock produced in Wyoming. Every county in Wyoming produces cattle and sheep.
