Gearing Up for AP Testing….

Test Day is NEAR! For all tests, please note the following information. This information is also in your AP Student Bulletin that was provided to you. (You can also go online to AP Central.)

What time do I need to arrive at school for my test?

“The early bird gets the worm!”
It is recommended you arrive no later than 7:30 am for morning tests and 11:30 am for afternoon tests. Testing will start PROMPTLY at 8 am and NOON. If you arrive after the test has started, you will NOT be allowed entry and will need to test during late testing (a fee may apply).

Are NOT allowed in the testing area and must be turned in at check-in.
Cell Phones Are NOT allowed in the testing area and must be turned in at check-in.

What to Bring And What NOT to bring

Take note! Bring: Two sharpened No. 2 pencils (with erasers)
Two pens with black or dark blue ink only, for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams. A watch that doesn't have internet access, doesn't beep, and doesn't have an alarm. A jacket or sweatshirt Dress in layers in case the room is hot or cold.

What NOT to Bring! Electronic equipment (phones, smartwatches, or wearable technology of any kind, laptops, tablet computers, Bluetooth devices, portable listening or recording devices—MP3 player, iPod®, etc.—cameras or photographic equipment, devices that can access the internet, separate timers of any type, and any other electronic or communication devices) are prohibited in the exam room and break area. Books, compasses, correction fluid, dictionaries, clipboards, notes, or mechanical or colored pencils Protractors Scratch paper Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions Watches that beep or have an alarm (NO SMART WATCHES!) Food or drink Clothing or shoes with subject-related information Ear plugs/ headphones

Calculator Policy Students should check the list of approved graphing calculators; bring only approved models. As of 2018, students taking the AP Biology Exam may use a four-function (with square root), scientific, or graphing calculator. Students may bring two permitted calculators. They should bring calculators they are familiar with that are in good working order. Calculators may not be shared. Calculator memories do not need to be cleared before or after the exam.

Prior to your test day, you will receive a text/ from Total Registration AND a note from Mrs. Weinkauf regarding your testing location.
