On average a child of a prisoner will be 50 miles away from their imprisoned parent.
65% of boys who have a parent in prison go on to offend themselves In ,759 children were separated by parental imprisonment Many of these children are invisible and are not supported

About us We only support children who have a parent in prison and for 6 months after release. We work in the communities within the Thames Valley Area. These children’s parents can currently be found in 12 different prisons across the country. Identifying the children and young people we support can be challenging. Partnership work is key

What we do Supporting the child to understand their feelings towards having a parent in prison. 1:1 mentoring Group work, safe environment where all the young people have a parent in prison. Alternative education programme Prison Family Days Photo book project, enabling a relationship with the imprisoned parent without the sometimes traumatic experience of visiting. Music and film making activities.
