2. Transitions Re-read your paragraph
Look for areas where you may have written phrases like:
“This quote proves my point because…”
“This text evidence is relevant because…”
Then, cross out those phrases entirely, and replace with a transition word! (Use writer’s notebook)

3. “Wanted Poster”
Objective: Make a claim about how from our myths in the Second Theme of Greek Mythology is the guiltiest mortal in all of Greece for committing the sin of hubris.
Directions: Write a paragraph, using text evidence, that supports your claim. Create a “wanted poster” for your chosen mortal
Requirements: Include on your poster: your paragraph, a picture (drawn or found online), the second theme of Greek mythology.

Due date: Beginning of class on Wednesday, January 18

4. Greek Related Details (Additional Ideas)
Add a reward (ex: opportunity to dine on Mt. Olympus, bottled ambrosia, drachmas)
Add a section for “what their punishment might be”
Add a phone number to all (ex: 1800-Athene-Police)
Add a physical description of your mortal (what might they be seen wearing?)
Get creative where you can!

5. Perspectives Your paragraph will be a formal paragraph
Do not use personal pronouns such as: I, me, my
The rest of your “poster” is open to more creativity
Perhaps Athene or another god/goddess created the poster
Perhaps a Greek police officer created the poster
