HUMAN INTERACTION FUNCTION
It is obtaining information from the world around us and from our body, reacting to that information. To perform this function we use: Sense Organs Nervous System Effectors
4
Sense organs Our sense organs receive information from the world around us and from our own body. There are five senses: Hearing Sight Touch Taste Smell
5
HEARING The ears: They capture sound vibrations that travel through the air. They are connected to our sense of hearing and our balance.
6
SIGHT Our eyes: They capture light and images of our environment.
They are connected to our sense of sight.
7
touch The skin receptors:
Detect contact and changes of temperatura that we perceive as touch.
8
Taste The taste buds: Capture substances that enter our mouths and we perceive them as taste.
9
smell The olfactory bulb in the nose:
Capture substances in the air that we inhale and we percieve as smell.
10
Nervous system It is the system that:
Receives signals from the sense organs. Interprets the information and reacts to it. Consists of: The encephalon The spinal cord The nerves
