It is difficult to save parameters and results safely in demetra+.

2. Why should the storing of a workspace be made safer ?
What we do :

The same workspace is used each month. We called it the main workspace.
This workspace changes every month. We need to save the successive versions of this workspace.
One may think it is sufficient to copy the files of a workspace of a month M and its linked data file in secure place to keep them safe. 2

3. Why should the storing of a workspace be made safer ?
Data saved in the processing :
Specifications
The path of the linked data file
Every change in the original
file might lead to a change
in the filed workspace.
The link between the specifications and the initial data file still exists in the saved file.
In case of a refreshment the software will read the data from the original data file (wich may have been modified) and not from the file we copied.

4. What must we do in a filing process to secure our results ?
To secure a workspace:
The workspace of the campaign must be copied in an appropriate directory.
Path of the linked data file must be changed into the one copied in the filing directory.
Demetra + doesn’t allow users to change the path of the linked data file interactively.
The only way to do this is to change the path directly in the XML processing file. 4
