Lack of calcium can cause brittle bone disease (osteoporosis). It is also found in dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt. Iron: makes red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen around the body. Lack of iron causes anaemia.

Fruit and vegetables Fibre Fibre is found in fruit and vegetables, wheat and cereal products. Fibre is not absorbed by the body. It passes through the body and collects waste rubbish. It absorbs water as it passes to make it soft. Lack of fibre causes constipation.
