1990s The Ocean Pines, Berlin, Maryland, USA, Kiwanis Club floats a message of support for the global, 1990s campaign to eliminate iodine deficiency disorders.

1990s In 1999 K-Kids officially joined the Kiwanis Family as a service club for elementary school students. The first, unofficial K-Kids Club was formed in North Lauderdale FL in 1990.

2000s In 2000 Aktion Club, for adults living with disabilities, joined the Kiwanis family as a sponsored program.

2000s Service leadership is introduced to teenage students through Key Leader weekends.

2000s Delegates to the Kiwanis International Convention in 2005 voted to adopt “Serving the Children of the World” as the organization’s new official motto.

2010s June 24, Delegates to the 2010 Kiwanis International Convention in Las Vegas voted to join with UNICEF in the effort to Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus within 5 years and pledged to raise US $110 million to accomplish this global project.

2010s January 1, Kiwanis float in Tournament of Roses Parade. Hundreds of KIWIN’S converge on Phoenix Decoraating Company site in late December as part of the 56,000 volunteer hours worked by Kiwanis family members to help decorate floats.

2010s January 21, Kiwanis celebrated its 100th Anniversary. June 25 – 28: Kiwanis International Convention was held jointly with Key Club and Circle K Conventions & Aktion Club TLC Conference. October 1st Sue Petrisin became the first female Kiwanis International President.

2010s November, Money continues to come in to honor pledges totaling $110 million. Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus has been eliminated in all but 15 countries worldwide, with a few more countries close to completing the verification process. Mothers continue to receive immunizations
