27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

There comes a time when things need to be stated in a very plain and simple way. Some will NOT understand the importance of spiritual matters any other way. With these ideas in mind lets look at some basic facts of life.

Life is no Paradise: Genesis 3: Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."

Life is fleeting: James 4: Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Life is full of trouble: Job 14:1 - "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. Psalm 116:3 - The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.

It is an abomination to God: Proverbs 6: These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

No one is exempt: Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, It brings death: Romans 3:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It separates us from God: Isaiah 59:1-2 - Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

It makes us worthy of punishment: Romans 2:9 - tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

16. Facts of Life: Hell is Hot
This is what we deserve: Matthew 7:13 - "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. It is a place of destruction: Matthew 10:28 - And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

A place of darkness, regret and pain: Matthew 25:30 - And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ A place of filth and heat: Mark 9:48 - where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.'

A place of fire: Revelation 20:15 - And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. This does not sound like a place I want to be, nor do I want anyone to be there. But this is what we ALL deserve because of Sin!!

20. Facts of Life: Jesus Saves
By His blood: Romans 5:8-9 - But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

By Obeying Him – Hebrews 5:8-9 - though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

By cleansing sin: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 -Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

By walking in the light: 1 John 1:7-9 - But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

26. Conclusion
Are you paying attention to the Facts of Life? We all have a choice to make. Will you obey the Words of Christ and accept the gift of eternal life? Or will you join the rest of mankind in eternal hell? The choice is yours.
