What is Concept Mapping?
A knowledge representation tool developed in the 1970s. A technique used to represent complex information or thoughts visually.

Mapping can be done for several purposes:
To generate ideas (brain storming, etc.); To design a complex structure (long texts, large web sites, etc.); To communicate complex ideas; To assess understanding or diagnose misunderstanding.

Making a Map Start with a central theme (i.e. Dogs)
Think of words related to the central theme (mammals, tails, affection etc.) Draw lines to connect words Write words on the lines to describe the connection
