Science Class Procedure
Check the board for the agenda for the day. Make sure that you have all of your materials for the day. Write down your homework assignment and any other announcements, such as test or quiz date, in your agenda. Begin the bell-ringer assignment. Go to the restroom before class starts.

Science Rules 1). Come to class on time!
2). Be in your seat when the tardy bell rings. 3). Be prepared with textbook, binder and pen/pencil daily! 4). Do not disrupt the class with nonsense! 5). Turn in your homework daily! No late homework will be accepted! 6). Be prepared to work in small groups! 7). Treat each other as you would want to be treated, WITH RESPECT! 8). Follow all lab safety rules! 9). No eating or drinking in science class!

How will my grade be calculated?
Graded classwork/quizzes % Homework % Test/Projects % Labs % total ________ 100%

How many points will be deducted for turning in graded assignments late?
Day minus 11 points Day minus 22 points Day minus 33 points No work will be accepted after 5 days. A zero will be given for that assignment.

What about homework? Homework must be turned in the day that it is due. You will not be allowed to turn in late homework. The assignment must be complete. You will not receive full credit for incomplete homework.

What we will study this year
Rocks and Minerals (to include fossils) Inside the Earth (Plate Tectonics) Astronomy Weathering and Erosion Climate and Weather (to include the water cycle) Human Impact (to include renewable and nonrenewable resources)
