One way to prepare students for a new lesson is to review the vocabulary and concepts from the previous lesson.
Ask participants to find a partner and respond to the prompt.
After two to three minutes, ask a few participants to share something that they or their partner said. Prompt for “new voices”, or participants that haven’t spoken to the whole group yet.
