3. DESCRIPTION
Its shark-like tail propels the Sawfish through the water majestically.
There saw like nose, consist of modified scales that look like teeth.
The Sawfish ranges in weight between lbs.
The Sawfish can range from 4.6 ft to 23 ft.

5. FACTS Sawfish are also known as “SHARKS WITH SWORDS”
They can also be found in rivers and lakes. In fact the were once common in river systems from Texas, to Southern New Jersey.

6. HUMAN IMPACT
The Sawfish population has gone down 95% due to fisherman catching them in their long line nets.
After the fisherman catch them, they hack off their fins, to be eaten as a delicacy and throw the rest back into the water.
And their sawfish saws are really cool to keep
