The biggest mistake ever made was allowing millions of Jews to suffer during the Holocaust and the United States did nothing to help when it first learned the truth. People of all ages were gassed tortured and killed. Elie Wiesel the author of Night gave a first- hand account of what he and his family endured in the 1940s. Even though it was a difficult time for him to recall he felt it was necessary to tell his story. He didn’t want the world to forget such a tragedy so he wrote Night as a way for all to remember to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. Students all across America will read this book they will never forget what happened.
