5 Observations Health Records are an important part of the ecosystem
Many block-chain pilots and proof of concepts occurred over the last 2 years. Waiting for an authoritative source or public entity willing to publish valid claims/information to a node. Vendors have stopped talking about blockchain - now focusing on value add of their service to Health IT environment Early success using Distributed Ledger Technology – private chains within and enterprise to extend existing SOA/SOAP based services – enables agile microservices that support Big DATA - AI type services (HHS Procurement is an example) There are few flavors of blockchain taking most of the market with input support by major companies.   (Etherum and Hyperledger in particular) Slow progress for reward program – earn credit/coins - stood up to support patient participation in a PHR or Research clinical trial
