2. Story Writing Test or TAT
Instructions for Story writing test
The three pictures will be displayed on the screen one after each.
You have to write a story on each.
You will be allowed 30 seconds to see the picture and 3 ½ minutes to write the story on it.
After 4 minutes next picture will be displayed on the screen.
You have to write a story in English language only.
The theme of the story should avoid negative, defeatist and negative approach, it should command happy, confident and positive attitude.

3. Hints for writing a story
Take a while to actually think of a story before stating to write.5 to 10 seconds are enough if you have practiced at your home. Those who don’t practice sit idle for 30 sec but still can’t come up with a plot for the story. "Practice makes a man perfect".
Do not write childish stories like " She was walking alone on a road at night when all of a sudden..... A lion came before her and she started screaming then superman came for her rescue" Try to make a little bit practical stories.
In case of picture story you need to look at the picture, think of something relating to the situation. Try to include each and every character in the picture and the surroundings.
Usually the following sequence is adopted... first 2, 3 lines give an introduction of the main character and PAST, next 2,3 lines tell about the PRESENT and what is happening in the picture and the last 2, 3 lines tell about some positive FUTURE happening from this scene.
You would have to write 5 to 6 stories in total, Do not include Army in all the stories. You can write, he joined armed forces of Pakistan.
Try to include something of your past in the stories, to make them more real.
Try to avoid accidents, tragedy, and death, in the stories.

There will be displayed three incomplete stories on the screen.
You have to write a story on each sentence.
You will be allowed 30 seconds to see the sentences and 3 ½ minutes to write the story.
After 4 minutes new sentences will be displayed on the screen.
You may write either Urdu or English language in writing stories.
