The Procedure for Participation in Athletics Is Different from Participation in Extracurricular Activities At this time we are guided by the AHSAA regulations for registration and accepting non traditional students in Athletic activities. New Century Technology High School students will participate in Athletics at their zoned school. In order for students to participate in extracurricular activities (e.g., band, choir, JROTC, school clubs, etc.) they must be registered in Huntsville City Schools either as a traditional student or through the HCS virtual program. Both traditional and virtual students will participate in their zoned school extracurricular programs unless they are attending a magnet school. Eligibility questions should be directed through the high school athletic director to the school principal or the HCS Director of Athletics and Extracurricular Activities.
