5 Remember API is calculated by the number of students scoring in each bandwidth.
Moving students from the Far Below Basic level to the Below Basic Level will result in Greater API Growth than moving students from Below Basic to Basic.

6 From the CDE: “A greater API gain can occur through the improvement of the lowest performing students in the school.”

7 Moving FBB to BB and BB to Basic can really push our API up!
