Anne Freeman 23/04/15
2
Headline measures 2016 onwards
The headline figures which will appear in the performance tables will be: Progress across 8 subjects Attainment across the same 8 subjects Initially this will be based on point scores from the current GCSE grades, with A* worth eight points through to G grade which is worth one point. English and maths – the percentage of students who achieve the threshold (currently a C) in both English (Lang or Lit) and maths. Percentage of students achieving the EBacc
3
How it is calculated? Every student will have a Progress 8 target grade from Year 7 which is based on their KS2 English and Maths grades. If a student’s Progress 8 target grade is an ‘A’ – they will have to achieve 8 A’s to have a ‘0’ progress score. If they achieved 8 A*s they would have a positive score. At the end of Year 11 the progress of the whole cohort will be measured to give us an Attainment grade and a Progress 8 figure e.g. Attainment: C- Progress: (-0.5 will trigger an inspection)

Current Year 10 will be graded 1 – 9 for English Language/Literature and Mathematics with a ‘5’ being deemed a good pass. Current Year 9 and below will have 100% terminal exams in every subject Points scores will change from 2017

To analyse class data after each data drop and calculate the progress for All/High/Disadvantaged using the template provided in September Use that data to identify the students in your classes who need intervention and update your class intervention sheet. Discuss any concerns you may have about a student/class with your HOF/HOS
12
Responsibility of middle managers
Quality assure report grades before the final deadline through quality moderation Analyse data for your subject for all year groups using all data available Identify particular classes/groups who are underperforming and discuss this with class teacher and put in effective interventions Inform the T & L team of any individual concerns Complete an overall analysis for your area on the progress of all/high/disadvantaged students.
